ASU - here I come!!!

Not a great pic of the logo, but it was the best I could do at the moment.
I start here next Tuesday - YAY!!! I am nervous and excited all in one. I have a question for you fellow bloggers out there - Anyone ever taken the Valley Metro to the main campus? If so, please tell me how you did it??? If you have any other parking pointers for over there, I am all ears. That is what freaks me out the most. I am trying to do it where I never have to drive myself into the campus. I want to park and be bussed in or light railed in, etc.

Hi! I'm Jessie's sister in law...I just saw "ASU" on her page and had to follow the link :) I graduated in 2006, so I'm not sure how much has changed!!

The easiest thing is to get a parking pass for lot 59 - by the stadium. You can catch the Flash Forward or the Flash Back to the main part of the campus. I just went early my first day, and jumped on one. You figure it out pretty quickly, they just go in a loop.

I'm not sure if you were planning to take a bus from near your house or if you just didn't want to be driving around where all the dorms and everything are. It was the easiest for me - and you don't get caught up in too much traffic. Just watch out for those parking police!!

Okay....sorry to ramble, but I hope that helps :)

No problem, Lori told me you had been out of town and probably didn't see my post about needing emails. Sorry you weren't feeling good. How was your trip? And I am sure you will be seeing me and the baby around once I feel like leaving the house after he's born. Good luck with starting school, that's quite an adventure.

I hear ya! I went to NAU for undergrad so I was used to a smaller school. I went to ASU and got a parking ticket because I got so frustrated with trying to drive/park there.

Lot 59 is right by the stadium, and then it also goes across the street - so right along Tempe Town Lake. It is the outlying part of the campus so it's not too bad as far as drivers and finding parking. It's easier to find parking earlier in the morning too.

Good luck! You will get used to it. I promise :)

I don't know how it works, but there is a bus that picks up at the Poly Campus and it takes you over to ASU. I know some of the kids i my class got on it after class and went back to Tempe. You might check into that. I have class there tomorrow, I will see if there is some information at the student center for you. Good luck today, have fun!! I started today, but here I sit, at my computer:)
